Iterations of Troop, 2022 - 2024

Made without camera, Troop is a growth of photographic forms. They comprise of chemigrams that stem from the project Aortic Deposit (Shack Cooking 6 takes), where Ox heart valves and juices were recycled as base chemical components to react with photographic paper and film.

The photographic materials of Troop have been found, bought on ebay or collected over time, and includes expired Kodak bromide paper, Agfa Brovira paper and ORWO photo paper. Other chemigram materials used for activating the photographic surface include toothpaste, used mascara, pickle juice, black and white chemistry, selected remnants from compost, sepia toner concentrate, C41 chemistry and photographic dye.

A Troop can grow, shrink, become more gathered or spread depending on its relationship to the surrounding environment.
